David has spent the last 30 years in the resort real estate development industry overseeing the planning, approval and development of resort communities on behalf of owners, lenders and equity partners. His development accomplishments include a remarkably diverse spectrum of projects – from a cattle ranch to a multibillion-dollar destination resort that year-after-year has been judged to be Eastern North America’s #1 mountain resort.

Locally He has been a part of the development team and ownership group at Catamount Ranch and Club since early 2020, developed various projects in the Wildhorse Meadows neighborhood of Steamboat and worked with local land owners on master planning and development strategies to monetize their assets.  David has led teams of professionals in the development of over 2,300 condominium units across North America.

In the area of water and water resource management, he started his career as. mechanical engineer designing water distribution systems and overseeing construction of those facilities for municipalities and ski resorts alike.  He has managed the water rights portfolio on behalf of Catamount Ranch for over twenty years, served on the board of various Ditch Companies, and has worked with many local land owners on water rights issues.  He is an advocate of being able to provide nature’s greatest resource in the broadest and most efficient ways possible while respecting the history, structure and demands of water use in the Western United States.

David holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science from the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University.
